Steve Carter Tutoring Grant

The LDOE's Steve Carter Tutoring Grant supports eligible K-12th grade students with Literacy or Math tutoring. Canopy Tutoring is an approved provider through the Louisiana Department of Education.

  • Canopy Tutoring provides CKLA free workbooks and readers in a virtual format for grades K-5.

    STEPS:

    1. Go to www.canopyed.com

    2. Create a Learner account with you’re email address (Free!)

    3. Enter the course code: workbook123

    4. Navigate to your child’s grade level OR another level that is best for him/her

    5. Click on the small arrows next to the unit names to expand the lessons and units

    Workbooks and readers can be used online or printed.

  • Kylie Atlier is the 2024 Louisiana Teacher of the Year. She’s created a website for families to learn more about teaching their children to read.
